台灣本土文學詩人吳晟，有「國民詩人」之稱，以吳晟為傳記主角的「他們在島嶼寫作」文學紀錄片《他還年輕》，正式發布海報、預告，將於9月2日在全台上映，片中貼身記錄吳晟投入廣袤土地的情懷。                                                                      　　吳晟創作貼近生活、靠近土地自然，透過書寫台灣人、敘述台灣事、描繪台灣景的創作意念，充分表達台灣在地的原鄉情懷。其詩作〈負荷〉原創作於 1977 年， 3 年後被選為國立編譯館版本之課文教材，從此「甜蜜的負荷」變成親情的代名詞，40 餘年來，持續感動每一代的台灣人。在紀錄片《他還年輕》中，傳主吳晟感性地說：「讀詩還有感動，就表示生命還有熱情。」                                                                      　　紀錄片《他還年輕》自 2017 年起，以超過3年時間長期駐點的拍攝策略，跟著吳晟穿梭彰化鄉間、踏查濁水溪生態，亦飛住美國愛荷華回憶參加寫作班心情，至溫哥華拜訪亦師亦友的作家瘂弦，動人呈現吳晟與家庭、友人間的情感流動與影像語言。本片拍攝期間恰逢〈負荷〉的主人翁、也就是詩人的女兒吳音寧身陷北農事件風暴，這期間詩人無法寫詩，只能在面對生命最大挫折與衝擊中，勉強於谷底執筆記錄事件始末，寫成《北農風雲》一書。本片記錄了詩人這兩年多的心情轉折，從憤怒、焦灼、掙扎，到重生與昇華，遂見證了詩是濁世最終的救贖。                                                                      　　詩人吳晟紀錄片《他還年輕》片名的故事，來自於這位「國民詩人」在邁入21世紀階段，從2001至2014年的詩作選集名稱。吳晟謙稱，由寫作累積成著作的進度實在不容易，近年來他仍持續發表作品，今年也有新書持續推出，紀錄片《他還年輕》見證了「詩人不老，鬥志不滅」的年輕精神。                                                                      　　導演林靖傑11年前即因拍攝以作家王文興為主的「他們在島嶼寫作」文學紀錄片《尋找背海的人》獲得關注，不但獲得台灣國際紀錄片雙年展「國際長片競賽優等獎」，也入圍金馬獎最佳紀錄片，並獲得最佳剪輯獎。林靖傑這次再度應邀擔任「他們在島嶼寫作」系列最新電影《他還年輕》導演，緊跟著吳晟的身影腳步，不但記錄了他對台灣土地的關懷，也透過攝影機，讓大家看見詩人在動筆的感性，以及筆下「最甜蜜的負荷」之由來。

He also examines why so many people are still dying of hunger after decades of food aid.
